The excitement in eating shishito or padrón peppers is the gamble; you never know which pepper out of the lot will be blazing hot. Full disclosure: I eat only the tame ones but cautiously take a tiny bite every time. Typically, one or a few out of a batch of these curvy peppers will taste fiery. You can easily double this recipe to serve a larger group.
