This simple twist on the classic potato rösti makes a perfect companion to many breakfast ingredients, such as pan-fried mushrooms and a poached egg. It can also be made into the centrepiece of any “comfort” meal. We particularly enjoy rösti served with roasted vegetables and a cream sauce.


  • celeriac head 1 small, grated
  • onion 1 large, grated
  • potato


  1. Combine the grated ingredients in a bowl, then sprinkle with the salt. Allow to sit for 20 minutes so that the salt draws the water out of the vegetables.
  2. Place the mix in a colander and squeeze out any excess water.
