Sweet onions, fresh cauliflower, and golden raisins are tossed in a fresh pungent barbecue sauce for an unusual and exciting condiment. Serve with Venison Páté and herbed meat loaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 large sweet onion (about 8 ounces), such as Maui or Walla Walla, very thinly sliced

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a 2-quart microwave-safe casserole, and stir well.
  2. Cook, covered, at full power (650 to 700 watts) for 5 minutes. Stir, and cook another 5 minutes.
  3. Allow the relish to cool to room temperature, then Refrigerate for up to 3 days.
