The sweet flavor of orange butter, heightened with vanilla and nutmeg, is great atop hot pancakes and waffles.

Ingredients

  • 12 tablespoons ( sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar

Method

Combine the butter, confectioners’ sugar, and orange zest in a mixer bowl, and beat until light. Then slowly beat in the liqueur, juice, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt until smooth. Transfer to a crock, and serve immediately.
