Everybody loves a crisp … or a crumble … or a cobbler. It is one of those scrumptious desserts that we find ourselves eating for breakfast the next day, and “evening up” until there’s none left.

Ingredients

  • 8 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and cut into ¼-inch-thick slices

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Butter a large (14-inch-long) baking dish or casserole or a 2½- to 3-quart soufflé dish.
  2. Combine the pears, ginger,
