W’ve combined regal golden Queen Anne cherries with sweet dark ones, then added kirsch and Cherry Heering to make a very cherry tart. It’s a beauty!

Ingredients

Pastry

  • 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼

Method

  1. Prepare the pastry: Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a food processor. Add the butter and process until the mixture has the texture of coarse crumbs.
  2. With the motor running, add the egg yolk and ice water through the feed tube. Process until the dough forms a ball.
  3. Cover the dough with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
