Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

Method

  1. Combine the butter and both sugars in a mixing bowl, and cream until smooth and pale yellow.
  2. Stir in the water and vanilla. Then add the flour and pecans, mixing until the dough is thick and creamy.
  3. Wrap the dough in waxed paper, and chill in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours.
