Although it tastes old-fashioned, our applesauce is made the most modern way we know. It has a freshness that long stewing cannot maintain.

Ingredients

  • 2 McIntosh apples
  • 2 Granny Smith or other tart apples
  • 1 cup water<

Method

  1. Halve and core the McIntosh apples; peel them if you like. Cut each one into 6 wedges.
  2. Halve and core the Granny Smith apples; peel them if you like. Cut them into 1 inch chunks.
