Clarified butter can be heated, without burning, to higher temperatures than regular butter.

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter

Method

  1. Melt the butter over low heat in a small heavy saucepan.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and set it aside for 5 minutes.
