Ojojo, like ikokore, is another gift from Ijebuland in Nigeria. The name of this snack stuck in my head for most of my childhood, and when I finally found out what all the fuss was about, I became a certified member of the ojojo-loving crew!

Origin: The English term for ojojo is water yam fritters. It originates from the Ijebus in western Nigeria. It is water yam grated and deep-fried to serve as a snack eaten on its own, or as a main dish paired with custard, oatmeal, or pap
