  • About

Boylan potatoes are named after the amateur cook who invented them.

He had never cooked potatoes before – or anything else come to that.

  • 1Β½ lb (700 g) new potatoes, cleaned
  • 4–6 tablespoons freshly made mint sauce

Boil or steam the potatoes until tender. Slice and stir gently into the mint sauce.

β€˜β€œExcellent,” James Bond said to the barman, β€œBut if you can get a vodka made with grain instead of potatoes, you will find it still better.”’

From Casino Royale by Ian Fleming, 1953.
