Our favorite loaf for tea; serve with lots of unsalted butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing the pans

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Butter two 9 × 5 × 3-inch loaf pans with 3 tablespoons of the butter.
