Crust

  • Butter, for greasing the pan
  • cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 × 12-inch baking pan.
  2. Make the crust: Sift the sugar and flour together. Cut in the butter, using two knives or a pastry blender, until fine crumbs form. Pat the crust into the prepared baking pan.
