Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing the pan
  • 1 cup light brown sugar<

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 × 12-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar. Add the egg yolk; beat well.
  3. Sift in the flour, mixing well, then stir in the vanilla. Spread the batter in the prepared pan.
