This is a deep, dark, fudgy sauce that hardens on ice cream to a thick, delicious glaze.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter very slowly in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Meanwhile, heat the water to boiling. When the chocolate and butter have melted, add the water and stir well.
  2. Add the sugar and corn syrup and mix until smooth. Turn the heat up and stir until the mixture starts to boil; adjust the heat so that the sauce is just maintained at the boili
