Ingredients

  • 1 qt. blueberries
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla

Method

Mix sugar and cornstarch; wet with a little of the milk, add butter and the rest of the milk. Cook until it coats the spoon. Remove from fire and add the vanilla.

Line a pie plate or oblong shallow pan with thin layer of Kuchen Dough, or Cookie Dough. Sprinkle top with a few bread crumbs. Wash and carefully pick over the blueberries, add a tablespoon of lemon juice or a little vinegar, sprinkle with a little sugar and cinnamon. Place on dough, add the cooked custard. Place in hot oven, and bake until the bottom is well browned.
