Ingredients

  • 1 large sour apple
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Method

Wipe, core and pare apple. Put sugar in cavity and bake until tender; mash, pour over water, let stand ½ hour and strain, add lemon juice if desired. Or, slice the raw apple and boil in the water and strain without squeezing.
