While fresh is always best, frozen blueberries are a completely acceptable substitute here and will allow you to make this drink at any time of year. They lose little of their health value through freezing, and the taste when muddled into a drink isn’t terribly different. Similar to blackberries, their dark coloring houses high quantities of disease-fighting antioxidants.
