I didn’t think a basic Manhattan could be improved upon! The simple blend of whiskey, vermouth, and bitters is one of my favorite classic cocktails. In this rendition, it is revved up to full city speed via cocoa-butter-washed bourbon. In addition to Angostura, we added chocolate bitters to further play off of the cocoa-butter-enhanced bourbon and swapped out straight vermouth for the more herbaceous Carpano.
