When Brittini read my proposed recipe for this drink, she wasn’t particularly thrilled about the potential color it would create. I knew the color would turn out to be a murky brown, but thankfully it tastes every bit as good as I imagined it would. I usually recommend using Cynar 70, but in this drink it was too strong, since celery juice and apple juice hold less weight than heavy artichoke leaf liqueur. The sparkling water lightens the color a bit, but it still errs on the murky side. Em
