Cream sauces need not be heavy and cloying. One of cream’s attributes is that it is a marvelous carrier of flavors. In this sauce a relatively modest amount of cream is able to envelop your palate with the fragrant aromas of fresh herbs. I like using a beef bouillon cube for a richer flavor, but you could substitute a vegetable bouillon cube to make this a completely vegetarian dish.
