Grits

  • 1 quart water
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • ¼ pound

Method

Grits

In a medium sauce pot place water, heavy cream and butter in pot. Bring mixture up to a simmer and mix evenly. Add grits and stir with a whisk immediately to avoid lumps. Cook grits on medium heat for 20-25 minutes. Use a whisk and stir consistently to cook evenly.

Add shredded cheddar cheese and salt to taste. You can adjust cheese and butter
