The loveliest time to go to the south of Morocco is in January or February when the almond blossom blooms in the oasis on the desert side of the Atlas mountains. On my first visit, a sort of belated honeymoon, there was an excellent French-Moroccan restaurant on the winding way up to the Tizi-n-Test mountain pass.
