Fried Liver



  • 1 lb. beef or pork liver
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Salt and pepper


Pour the boiling vinegar over the liver. Drain and cut in 2-inch pieces. Season and roll in bread crumbs. Fry sliced onion in butter, then fry liver in same butter. Arrange liver on fried onion and pour brown gravy around.
