  • Parsnips
  • Melted butter or
  • Boiling salted water
  • Small piece pork or lamb

Method

Wash and peel. Cut into lengthwise strips. Cut out the cores if they seem tough. Cook in boiling salted water until tender, about 20 to 30 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to water. Drain well and serve with melted butter. For a richer flavor, cook them with a piece of pork or lamb. Parsnip adds
