Rutabaga and Carrot Balls

  • 2 cups rutabaga balls
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 cups carrot balls
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Meat stock
  • 1 teaspoon dill or parsley
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt


Cut balls with a vegetable scoop. If you do not have meat stock on hand, cook a small piece of pork for stock. Add the vegetables, sugar and salt. Cook until tender. Brown butter, add flour and make roux with 3 tablespoons of vegetable liquid When smooth, add to vegetables. Garnish with chopped dill or parsley.
