This is a lovely variation to serve with, or in place of, bread. You can also make this dough in a mixer using a dough hook.

Method

In a bowl, combine the yeast, the water and the sugar to activate.

Put the flour and 1 teaspoon of salt into a large, wide bowl or onto a surface. Add the yeast to the flour and mix in with a fork to incorporate. Add the oil and begin kneading with your hands for about 10 minutes until you ha
