  • About

Little golden petits fours to grace an afternoon tray of lemonade, tea, or madeira. Be warned that this is only for those who like a seedy crunch (like big poppyseeds), in their sweets. If you want moister cakes, wrap and let mellow for a few hours or overnight; dust with confectioners’ sugar at serving time.

Ingredients

  • 5 dark purple passion fruits
  • About 3 tablespoons passion fruit liqueur, or other fragrant fruit liqueur (see Note)

Method

  1. Scoop every bit of pulp from 3 halved fruits into nonaluminum sieve; press through all juice and pulp; discard seeds. Scoop out and add remaining pulp to sieved; combine with enough passion fruit liqueur to equal cup. With softened butter, brush 20 tartlet molds of about 2-tab
