These cheesy sticks coated in crisp breadcrumbs are delicious with a tomato-based salsa or a sweet chilli dipping sauce. You can prepare ahead for a snack or party food, then bake to heat up just before serving.

Ingredients

250 g/9 oz vegan mozzarella-style cheese
2 tbsp chickpea/

Method

Cut the cheese in half lengthways and then into 1cm/1/2in strips. Keep these in the fridge, covered, while preparing the other ingredients.
Put the chickpea flour in a bowl with a pinch of salt, the onion powder and the herbs if using. Blend to a paste with a little of the milk, then stir in the rest. Put the plain flour in a second bowl and the breadcrumbs in
