It’s good to have a fabulous foolproof vegan chocolate cake in your repertoire – bake it for celebrations, birthdays or just because! This is smothered in a chocolate buttercream and grated chocolate, but you could dust the cake in icing sugar or cocoa powder for a less fancy affair.


  • 175 g/6 oz/scant 1 cup caster/superfine sugar
