This is one of the easiest sweet traybakes you can make – simply melt, stir and bake. This recipe uses agave syrup instead of golden syrup, though you could use golden syrup instead if that’s what you have. Agave syrup is really sweet so you don’t need much.

Ingredients

  • 225 g/8 oz/1 cup vegan margarine, plus extra for greasing

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C/325°F/Gas 3. Grease and line a 20cm/8in square cake tin/pan.
