Boil or steam miniature cauliflower. The results will be about the same, but flavor may be marginally stronger and sweeter if the cauliflower is steamed (or milder if boiled, however you look at it). To keep the mini-idea paramount, mix with other little vegetables, such as tiny carrots.
Barely trim base of heads (or trim after cooking, keeping leaves intact to protect buds). Rinse.
