Lemon zest and honey season a simple toss of pale, juicy onion—a mere nothing to assemble. The tart, fresh mixture is best served as a complement to rich salted fish (such as herring fillets), grilled salmon, barbecued pork or beef, or smoked pork chops—along with small potatoes steamed in their jackets.
