  • About

Chicken karhai is one of the very common recipes made in every desi (local) household. This dish is cooked in a wok, known as a karhai in Urdu, and hence the name. This is a straightforward recipe and tastes like the authentic dhabba -style (roadside cafes) karhai in Pakistan.

It can also be made using mutton. Mutton karhai will require extra water and cooking time to make the meat tender.

easy, quick, cheap. None of the ingredients are difficult to obtain (US cooks can use curry powder if garam masala is unavailable). Very good recipe, unless you insist on mutton.
