Lemon chicken is another recipe in this book that does not come from my side of the family. It belongs to my mother-in-law, Shabih Zehra Aunty.
It is such a refreshing recipe that it became an instant hit in my family and is now cooked regularly. It’s simple and absolutely delicious!
Fry onions in oil until golden-brown. Then add black pepper and cumin seeds.
Add chicken, ginger, garlic and fry for a few minutes. Then add turmeric, red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, and tomatoes, and cook covered on low heat until the chicken is tender.
Add the lemon slices, green chillies, and coriander leaves and cover and cook for another 10 minut
