  • About

Chapati is a whole-wheat flour bread. It is a puffy, soft, and fluffy flatbread that serves as an accompaniment of every curry (meat or vegetable) in the Indian subcontinent. We usually eat our curry with either boiled rice or with chapati. It is an essential part of our daily meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Whole-Wheat Flour (and some for dusting)
  • Salt to taste
  • ¾ cup warm Water

Method

In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients (flour and salt).

Slowly add water to make a soft dough.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-10 minutes until it is smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

Make round balls out of the dough and then roll each ball into a flatbread with a rolling pin on a flour-dusted surface until the bread is very thin
