This is my simplified version of a classic Middle Eastern delicacy. It is a fragrant mix of pastry, nuts, and honey that is impossible to resist. This is by no means a traditional recipe, but it does have many of the same ingredients as a traditional baklava, and my family loves it. This tasty treat also comes together in minutes. The shape of the palmiers makes them perfect for the month of February: they look like little hearts and make a lovely teatime treat or present.
