Ingredients

  • Brown basmati or jasmine rice, 1 cup (7 oz/295 g)

Method

  1. In a saucepan, bring 1½ cups (12 fl oz/375 ml) salted water to a boil. Add the rice and return to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 30 minutes. Keep the pan covered, turn off the heat, and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
