Peel the plantains and cut them into ¼-inch-thick coins. Heat the oil in a large, nonstick skillet over medium-high for 2 minutes. Add the plantain slices in a single layer and allow them to brown on the bottom, 2–3 minutes. Flip and brown them on other side. Sprinkle with a little salt and turn off the heat.
