I love cheap packet crisps, but here are some poncy ones. Root veg just squeak ‘Me, me, me’ from the soil or market barrow in autumn. These crisps remind me of piles of autumn leaves.

They are so easy to make. Cook them in individual groups, as they have different cooking times. If bagging them up, make sure they are totally cooled, or they will fade them like pets in a hot car.
