For this recipe, choose quinces that are of a similar size, and preferably not too large. If they are huge, serve one for two people.

Ingredients

  • 6 semi-dried figs, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sultanas
  • 1 tablespoon

Method

Preheat the oven to 170°C/325°F/gas mark 3. Combine the figs with the sultanas, honey and cinnamon. Peel and core the quinces, painting them with lemon juice as you do so to prevent discolouration.

Melt most of the butter and coat an ovenproof dish into which the quinces
