Ingredients

  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • cups sweet milk
  • 2 cups

Method

Sift the meal three times and mix until it is smooth into the boiling water. Add the melted butter and salt, and thin with the milk.

Separate the eggs, and beat until light, folding first the yolks and then the whites into the batter. Pour into a buttered baking dish, bake about 30 minutes in a moderate oven (350°), and serve in its dish.
