This slow-cooked sauce can be used for all your tomato-based pizzas. It will make enough for seven or eight pizzas and will keep in the refrigerator or can be frozen if you don’t use it all in one go. You can also use it for pasta and casseroles, so you may even want to make double the quantity and freeze in batches.

  • 15 ml /1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
