Lunch spots in Mexico usually have a different fixed-price comida corrida every day. The phrase means “meal in courses” and refers to a menu that usually starts with a soup and also includes a pilaf-style rice or pasta, a stewed meat or chicken dish, dessert, and a beverage. The comida corrida at La Fuente, the restaurant of the Hotel Pluviosilla in Orizaba, has a devoted fan club and no wonder — the food is delicious and the entire meal costs 22 pesos (about $2.20). The first
