  • 2 cups water


In a small saucepan, heat the sugar and water together over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar thoroughly. Bring to a boil and cook until reduced to about 1 cup. Let cool to room temperature before using. The syrup will keep almost indefinitely in the refrigerator, tightly sealed.
