Sweet Bean Sauce

Sometimes called sweet wheat paste, this fermented wheat, sugar and salt paste is sweeter than yellow soya bean paste, but is used in the same types of Chinese dishes. There is also an entirely different product called sweet bean paste made with adzuki beans, which is used to make sweet dessert buns.
