Hulling and Slicing Strawberries

To remove the stem from a strawberry without wasting any of the fruit, use a paring knife. Insert a paring knife into the top of the strawberry, next to the stem. While holding the knife, rotate the strawberry with the other hand until the stem comes away. Slice the strawberry vertically for decorating.
