  • About
Best known as the sushi wrapper; deep purple black or green. Sold as sheets, toasted or not toasted. It can be crumbled and used to flavor soup, rice, a stir-fry, even popcorn. Dry-roasting (in the oven, in a hot pan, or run quickly and carefully over an open flame) brings out it’s nutty, salty flavor. Brush it with a little sesame oil or soy sauce afterward for even better results.
