Tai Koen

The Tai Koen (sometimes spelled Tai Kuen), whose cultural capital and “homeland area” is the town of Kengtung in the far eastern part of Shan State, speak a language almost identical to that spoken in the northern Thai provinces of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Their cooking culture is very similar too.
