  • About

This is a fantastic way to pair caramel with both unusual and classic flavors. Make a caramel. On a silicone liner or parchment paper, arrange small piles of any of the following: popcorn, Rice Krispies, toasted sesame seeds, ground or chopped almonds or hazelnuts. Pour the caramel over each pile and, as it begins to set, flatten them slightly into disks.

Transfer each disk onto a rolling pin to harden into a curved shape, like a roof tile. When they’re completely hard, break into irregular shards.
